Hei to whomever and all! I am currently studying social and cultural anthropology at the University of Helsinki. My academic interests and fields of focus include psychology/behavioral sciences, philosophy, nature, the environment and justice/law. We all know the discomfort of having a wound after a fall: the throbbing pain when our skin is first injured, the care we must take to keep it covered and disinfected, the itchiness while it heals. But wounds can form for reasons other than accidental injury and remain open for much longer than the typical couple of weeks
If you venture into the woods in Southern Finland, around the Hanko area, you’ll find groups of mounds with hundreds of ants dwelling on top that will spit acid at you when provoked.
