Elena Kochanova

I am a doctoral researcher at the Finnish Museum of Natural History, studying evolutionary history of freshwater crustaceans. My fundamental interest is understanding how the spectacular aquatic biodiversity originated and maintained. In my PhD I sample plankton from various lakes and ponds and show it in my Instagram @hidden.pondlife. I love to tell stories about how cool plankton is. I am also a huge book lover. At the TSB I am helping to organise the Science Slam, which will take place in Spring 2024. Stay tuned!
